Braai & BBQ

In South Africa a braai is more than a barbecue. It’s how you gather family and friends. Build your own lekker braai menu and we’ll bring the chef, the fire and everything to serve it.

3–4 hours’ accessBefore serving, depending on your menu size.
Room for smokeWe cook on charcoal, so there will be some.
Space to parkNear the entrance, so unloading is quick.
Space & accessSetting up, surfaces and carrying equipment
  • We need an open 4×4m space for our gazebo and braai. Please send photos of the access and cooking location, with the dimensions of any entrance or door, by WhatsApp or email.
  • If there’s no side entrance, there are stairs or anything blocks access, we’ll add a staff member to help the chef carry the equipment. This can also apply depending on event size or menu.
  • If we need to set up at the rear of a garden or behind a marquee, an assistant is required. If you don’t tell us beforehand and we arrive with one staff member, a £100 fee applies, paid to the staff member carrying the kit alone.
  • We recommend setting up on grass. On any other surface you’ll need to provide a cover on arrival and take full responsibility for any damage.
  • We recommend setting up near a clear exit, so we can leave without disturbing your event.
  • No driveway? Please keep a space free in front of your property before we arrive, by parking your car or putting out your bins.
On the dayArrival, smoke, leftovers and allergies
  • We arrive and need access 3–4 hours before serving time, depending on the size of your menu.
  • The braai is cooked on charcoal, so it does produce smoke.
  • We don’t take leftovers away.
  • Please tell us about any food allergies when you book.
Booking & paymentDeposit, balance and travel
  • A £100 deposit, paid by online banking, secures your braai. Ten days before, we confirm all arrangements and the balance is due.
  • £2 per mile applies to venues 20 miles or more from our KT9 or GU35 bases.
  • Our machines are PAT tested and we hold £10 million public liability insurance.
  • Paying the deposit confirms the terms have been discussed with us and you agree to them.
