Same fire, more on the grill

Because it’s real charcoal, we can cook more than the roast. Add a few BBQ options, roast potatoes or vegetable kebabs grilled over the same fire.

What we need from you

The short version is below. The full terms are in the drop-downs, and paying your deposit confirms you’ve read them.

A 4×4m open spaceDouble that if we bring two machines. Grass is best.
5–6 hours’ accessWe arrive that long before serving time.
A power sourceWithin reach of where we set up.
Outdoors onlyCharcoal cooking makes some smoke. It can’t be avoided.
Space & accessSetting up, surfaces and carrying equipment
  • We need a minimum 4×4m open area for our gazebo and spit roast machine, and double the space if we use two machines.
  • If there’s no side entrance, there are stairs or anything blocks access, we’ll add a staff member to help the chef carry the equipment. This can also apply depending on event size or menu.
  • If we need to set up at the rear of a garden or behind a marquee, an assistant is required. If you don’t tell us beforehand and we arrive with one staff member, a £100 fee applies, paid in cash on the day to the staff member carrying the kit alone. Our insurance means guests can’t help carry.
  • We recommend setting up on grass. On any other surface you’ll need to provide a cover on arrival and take full responsibility for any damage. The London Hog Roast Company Ltd isn’t liable for damage that may occur.
  • We recommend setting up near a clear exit, so we can leave without disturbing your party.
  • Spit roasts are cooked over charcoal, so we need an open outside area and there will be smoke. We can only roast outdoors with this package.
On the dayArrival, serving time and leftovers
  • We arrive and need access to your venue 5–6 hours before serving time. A power source is required.
  • We serve food for 1 hour. Extra serving time, or an event running late, is charged at £35 per 30 minutes or £70 per hour, paid in cash to the chef on the day.
  • Serving after 8pm carries a £50 late fee per staff member to cover their transport home.
  • We don’t take leftovers away.
  • Please tell us about any food allergies when you book.
Booking & paymentDeposit, balance and extra charges
  • A £100 deposit, paid by online banking, secures your event. Ten days before, we confirm all arrangements and the balance is due.
  • £2 per mile applies to venues 20 miles or more from our KT9 or GU35 bases.
  • Any parking, congestion or emissions charges at the venue are added to your final balance.
  • All our spit roast machines are PAT tested and we hold £10 million public liability insurance.
  • Paying the deposit confirms you agree to these terms.
